02 NCAC 48A .0205 INTERSTATE SHIPMENT
(a) North Carolina bees will be inspected within a reasonable time for beekeepers desiring an inspection as a prerequisite for interstate shipment of bees. There is no charge for this service. The inspection will be made only at a time of year when there is some brood rearing activity in a majority of the colonies.
(b) Health certificates will be issued according to the provisions of these rules.
(c) The State Apiarist may charge the additional costs of making inspections when the beekeeper requests inspection at a specified time for his own convenience and there is not adequate time for normal routine scheduling of the inspection.
