10a NCAC 01f .0101 OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE AND LEGAL AFFAIRS
(a) There is an Office of Legislative and Legal Affairs located at 325 N. Salisbury Street, Albemarle Building, Raleigh, N. C. 27611 with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(b) The purpose of the office is to provide technical assistance and information to the department's programs and divisions on various legal matters including legislative drafting, rules drafting, attorney general opinion requests and contested case hearings. In addition, the office monitors the progress of new legislation and federal rules of interest to the department and serves as an ex officio member of various departmental tasks forces.
(c) There is a Director of the Office of Legislative and Legal Affairs who is responsible for carrying out the responsibilities stated in (b) of this Rule.
