12 NCAC 01 .0213 PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS
The State of North Carolina is required to deduct from an employee pay check the following: federal and state income withholding taxes, retirement, social security deductions, and deductions for absences from work not covered by authorized leave credits. Other deductions may be made from an employee's pay check if requested and an authorization signed by the employee for: insurance premiums, United States Saving Bonds, credit union savings and payments, and fees for parking in a state owned parking lot. Federal, state, city and county tax liens may be deducted if authorized by proper authorities.
