14A NCAC 08H .0101       ALE DIVISION STATUTORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The North Carolina General Statutes charge ALE with the responsibility of enforcing the provisions of Chapter 18B and Article 5 of Chapter 90 governing the sale, purchase, transportation, manufacture, and possession of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances in the state.  ALE may perform such other duties as directed by the secretary and as required for the enforcement of the rules and regulations of the ABC Commission.  ALE is also charged with serving and executing the notices, orders, and demands of the ABC Commission.
